I was just issued a speeding ticket going 48 in 40 mph zone in Kansas. I was driving my father’s car, which I normally do not drive, but needed to on this one occasion. We are both covered under the same insurance agent, but we are on our own policies, and pay our own premiums separately. Will this affect the insurance premium on his car? Or will it just affect my premium (i.e., on my primary vehicle)? I am listed as the primary driver on my car, and I am not listed as a driver on his insurance.

your ticket. your insuance. thats the basic rule.
and on a FIRST ticket in kansas of unter 10MPH, there shouldnt be any change in insurance
unless your sharing premiums..
it will affect your insurance when you go to renew it .
your payment will go up
Yes your car insurance rate will go up because car insurance companies concern with the drivers record of their client. You can try to visit this cheap car insurance site for some useful information about car insurance issues.
